Malibu Camping

Camping around Malibu is quite limited. In fact, there are only 8 campgrounds in or around Malibu and one of them, Decker Canyon Camp, is currently closed. For all of the State Park campgrounds  - La Jolla Group Camp, Sycamore Canyon, Thornhill Broome, Leo Carrillo and Malibu Creek State Park - reservations are highly recommended. Circle X Ranch Group Campground is run by the National Park Service, making a reservation is easy. The only privately owned campground is the Malibu Beach RV Park. It too fills up quickly so make a reservation well in advance of your visit. For more information on all of these campgrounds click on the one you are interested in below.
