The Western National Parks Association is sponsoring an Opening Reception and Meet the Artist for “ A Walk with Nature” at the King Gillette Ranch Visitor Center Saturday July 1, 1PM to 3PM. The Exhibit will run July 1 to July 31- 9AM to 5 PM 7 days a week at the King Gillette Ranch Visitor Center 26876 Mulholland Hwy, Calabasas, CA 91302 PH (805) 370 -2301. The exhibit will feature plein-air and studio landscape paintings by Russ Hunziker.
“A Walk with Nature” was inspired by the writings of John Muir and features Russ’ paintings of the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area and Santa Cruz Island. Quoting John Muir “In every walk with Nature one receives far more than he Seeks”. Pairing over 40 paintings with quotes from John Muir and a description and location of each painting the viewer will gain a greater appreciation of the beauty of this unique and fragile resource and take away a desire to go out and enjoy and protect our natural environment. A portion of sales are donated to the Western National Parks Association to support arts in the park and preservation of the environment.

Ventura Freeway (U.S. 101) to Las Virgenes Road (Co. Hwy N1) exit. Go 3 miles south on Las Virgenes Road to Mulholland Highway intersection (traffic light). Turn left on Mulholland Highway. Park entrance is 0.1 mile on right.
Parking: Short-term parking will be available adjacent to the visitor center. Additional paid parking is also located nearby.
